Seven Ravens

Seven Ravens Coaching is all about helping moms find their way to wonder, ease, and contentment through fairy-tale inspired coaching, ecourses, and stories
I believe in the power of fairy and folk tales to reconnect us to our own stories. I believe that every woman has the choice to be the heroine of her own fairy tale, and that sometimes, we get to play a role in someone else’s story, too! I believe that every moment of our lives is an opportunity to choose adventure and to follow our bliss.
My journey
I’ve been telling stories to anyone who would listen since I was seven. In college, I organized storytimes, and then spent a year at Oxford studying folklore and folktales.
Many years as a Waldorf teacher allowed me to tell stories about everything from Baba Yaga's hut on chicken legs, to the water cycle, to the life of Joan of Arc. Waldorf teachers use fairytales, myths, and legends to help children find their place in the world. Fairy tales, used in the kindergarten and early grades, give us a picture of our soul's journey towards wholeness, and our path from childhood to adulthood. They can help moms find a new perspective on our experiences in the world, and a new lens through which to view our own life stories.
As a Waldorf teacher, I also spent a lot of time talking with parents about how to make things easier for their kids and for themselves. We talked about helping kids to get enough sleep, creating rhythm and routine at home, and ways parents can care for themselves, in order to model healthy adulthood to their kids. We discussed how important it is for kids to see their caregivers learning and growing, too.
When I left Waldorf teaching, I worked with a group of moms who wanted to find a way to fuse their Russian heritage with their interest in Waldorf Education. Our get-togethers were fueled by yummy food and animated conversation. All these women were creative, bilingual, and looking for an education for their children based on wonder and joy, not on checking boxes and meeting deadlines. I saw these women thriving on having space to speak about their struggles, to try out new ideas, and to be supported by other moms who had been where they were.
I created curriculum for early childhood centers, and I started offering a one-on-one experience using intuitively chosen stories to help guide individuals to reframe their own stories, and to find new ways to move forward on their path. In 2018, I enrolled in Mama Bliss Coaching School with Kathy Stowell, where I gained a whole new box full of coaching tools and inspiration.

make us human,
